Through prayers and gifts

Hi all, most of you don't know but Vivian's family fled Iraq into Turkey and have been living as refugees for the past 7 months. A couple weeks ago we received the huge praise that they have been selected to come to America and will be relocated to San Diego! (Again, that is where we are living) This is an enormous blessing for Vivian to see and live near her family again, and a new chance for her family to live outside of danger and persecution.

On March 2nd, they will be in the UN's hands and will wait for the UN to arrange the flight to America. Unfortunately the country of Turkey is taking advantage of Iraqi refugees and are charging them a "staying fee" for being in the country, even though they have been excepted by the UN as refugees. Technically it is illegal for them to this and I was able to get the IRC to look into it, but there is nothing anyone can do.

Essentially the six members of her family who are there will have to pay $600 each. So, $3,600 total if they are not late in paying. From what I am told, if they do not pay by the 2nd of March there will be huge late fees and will be charged over $5,000. So far, the family has been able to get about half of it from other family members abroad and here in the states.

I hate to make any kind of plea but I promised Vivian I would do anything I could to help. If you feel led to help we would really appreciate it, but at the very least I hope you feel led to pray over this situation. I know God will provide the funds, and I just wanted to bring this situation to anyone who could help.
